wine tasting and lunch
we took a tour to see how the chianti wines were made and lunch at this very old castle. fabulous... but so much food and drink. a big thing other than the wine in the tuscan region is the wild boar, and we had some salami made from wild boar,actually a few kinds of salami, cheeses, breads, then pasta,then some more cheese and meat, followed by a salad and white beans. very tasty. with 3 other red wines accompaning the dishes... glad for the 1 hr bus ride after to san gimigianano!
