Today we spent the day at the field museum. There, they have sue- the
world's biggest and most complete tryannosaurus rex skeleton.Noah is
below doing his t Rex impersonation.

They spent the whole day looking at 'stuffed animals' , how the world
formed 60 million years ago and looking at things in the gift shop.

what was the best part of the museum?
Noah: grandma, no I mean dinosaur sue.
Salmi: can I buy something at the gift shop please?

art institute

We found something for Aunty Anne fuller!

we find the bean

Daddy told us to go to millenium park. Lots of greenery and public art
all over. Even mc donalds has gardens to eat in. No - we didn't eat
there yet.

the moose is loose

The beginning of the trolley ride...

hooray for kung fu panda

The plane ride went smoother than hoped! We were lucky that our movie
was Kung fu panda. Kept them occupied.

We landed safely and headed to the hotel for a nap.

Taking a trolley tour of downtown Chicago- went past Oprah's 2 houses,
some really awesome churches, lots of shopping districts.

They are heading up the Sears Tower now. I'm a wimp as my sinuses and
motion sickness have kicked in with a vengence- so I am enjoying a
nice cup of soup & coffee waiting for them to return. We'll be off to
find the 'bean' for dad next.

"so what do you think of Chicago?"
N: I like all the revolving doors
Sammi: what? Where's Spain?

Aloha

2 days and counting

Hello-
Our first foray into the wonderful world of blogging. Its our aim to try and keep you updated on our europe trip- which starts in 2 days. All packed and ready. A bit nervous about Noah and Sammi being on an airplane for 8 hours to Chicago... everyone cross your fingers. Poor (or really, really lucky, depending how you view it) Daddy- stays home to keep up with his 3rd and final year of law school. We will miss him.

A few words from Noah:
I am very excited to go on my trip and I will see you guys when I return.

A few words from Sammi:
Can I have snack?

We leave Thursday afternoon, and go to Chicago for a couple of days. See you then.
