day 2, italy

we went siena today. it was anice leisurly drive, about 1hour in our bus with torin amusing us the whole time, in between rena trying to tell us about the surrounding countryside. someone started teaching him how to raise his hand and gesture when talking, so he was saying vole e gelato (i want a gelato!) with his little hand gestures and italian accent and in italian. it was pretty awsome.

siena was also awesome because its this little mideviel town that has narrow passage ways and hilly roads. its divided into 17 constradas, or neiborhoods or districts, each represented by adifferent animal, like the snail, eagle, lion, rhino, etc. each summer, there is a big race in the campo where each neighborhood gets a jockey and horse.. and they race. and they crash. and they fit 30,000 crazy fans in the middle of thetown square. crazy stuff. all for bragging rights.
maybe this can be the next level of games...kaimuki vs. kailua anyone?
